Position Details
Location: Wheeling, IL
Salary: $28-$33/hr with OT
Shift: M-F, 7:00am to 3:00pm. Overtime possible, not guaranteed.
Travel Requirements: Daily travel is required. Company truck provided with gas card.

Position Description
As a Service Technician, you will inspect, maintain, and perform minor to moderate repairs on CNG and/or LNG fueling equipment, including compressors, dispensers, priority panels, dryers, storage tanks, and other related equipment.

• Inspect, maintain, and adjust electrical equipment such as but not limited to electrical wiring, conduit, panels, switch gear, switches, gauges, transducers, solenoids, gas dryers, actuators, motors, meters, frequency drives and controls for safe and proper operating condition.
• Inspect, maintain, and adjust mechanical equipment such as but not limited to, compressors pumps, engines, intercoolers, after coolers, heat exchangers, piping, tubing, fittings, filters, traps, gas dryers, fasteners, valves, and actuators for safe and proper operating condition.
• Make periodic inspections of “Compressed Natural Gas” (CNG) and/or “Liquefied Natural Gas” (LNG) fueling locations and equipment to determine proper and normal operating conditions.
• Detect and correct faulty and malfunctioning mechanical and electrical components, devices, and equipment related to CNG, LNG, and “Hydrogen” fueling equipment.
• Update and document all activity, service orders, work performed and recommendation in our Field Service Automation (FSA) software.

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma (preferred) or equivalent plus a minimum of 4 years of related or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have working knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical systems. Must have basic computer knowledge, especially using service software.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. ?Ability to write simple correspondence.? ?Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Must possess basic set of tools prior to first day, list provided in initial interview.
• Strong working knowledge and ability to demonstrate ability to diagnose and repair electrical problems such as current overloads, ground faults, open circuits, and faulty relay logic, also should be able to monitor, check, and correct phase imbalances, current draw, low voltage power supplies, pressure transmitters, relay logic, and programmable logic control operation.
• Strong working knowledge and be able to demonstrate the ability to diagnose and repair such mechanical problems as high- and low-pressure gas flow restrictions, interstage gas compressor temperatures and pressures, pressure regulator variance and should have a strong understanding and be able to monitor, interpret, check, and correct operational trends in reciprocating and screw type gas compressors.
• Must be thorough and comfortable working on computer and tablets.
