Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Service Director to oversee the operations of our guest services program. The Service Director will be responsible for leading & managing service training to our entire staff roster & maintaining these standards, delivering outstanding customer service & ensuring that all events are executed flawlessly. The successful candidate will have a passion for food & beverage hospitality and a deep understanding of the catering industry.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Directors of Staffing & Operations to develop and implement service policies and procedures that ensure high-quality customer service standards are met consistently
- Develop and implement service standards
- Manage the in-field service team with Staffing Department leadership; including hiring, orientations, training and evaluating employee performance as needed per season
- Ensure existing service policies & procedures are constantly in-line with the expectations of events as-sold, and work directly with the Sales team to assure service standards can be elevated upon need
- Understand all aspects of event execution, including set-up, overall run-of-show service and breakdown, to guarantee a flawless client experience as well as employee experience
- Liaise with the Staffing Department to ensure proper placement of staff in the field based on individual skill, presentation, performance & positional growth, as required by the event
- Practice consistent, equitable communication that motivates all service team members & build a winning team of dedicated, committed staff.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in catering and event service management, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and team members.
- Passion for food and an understanding of the catering industry.
