Sev1Tech is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated SATCOM Engineer who would:

Provide in-depth technical assessments and analysis of activities within and between programs
-
Support the design of system architectures, terminals, waveforms and access protocols
-
Support analysis of system performance, throughput and response time, analysis of operational requirements and system loading

Conduct systems engineering evaluations of satellite and terminal designs
-
Participate in proposal and technical evaluations for satellite systems
-
Support design reviews and perform evaluation of satellite and terminal contractor designs
-
Demonstrate the ability to translate complex technical issues into meaningful terms for others involved

Effectively coordinate within and outside of the project office, to include executive level offices

Serve as subject matter experts in all aspects of transmission, to include modulation and coding, link budgets, radio frequency equipment, antennas, waveforms, blockage mitigation and other algorithms/protocols

Serve as Subject Matter Expert and brings knowledge of systems engineering methods and processes in order to perform SATCOM system analysis and evaluations for both commercial and military systems

Demonstrate knowledge of Military Standards (MIL-STDs) and certification processes

Demonstrate familiarity of customer/vendor product development, business proposals, marketing interaction, product design and manufacturing processes
- Must have US Citizenship and a Secret level clearance
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, testing or related field (BS can be substituted with 7 years of related experience performing SATCOM engineering functions)
- Minimum of eight (8) year of SATCOM engineering experience
