General Summary
The Senior Quality Engineer handles varied activities in all manufacturing operations from Wafer Fab, Assembly, and Electrical Test Screening through Qualification Testing per Military and JEDEC industry standards.
Responsibilities

  • Reviews customer contracts
  • Handles ATE Test Program & burn-in circuit review and approval
  • Coordinates and manages customer product and process change notification
  • Performs qualification engineering review, coordination, and certification of commercial and military products
  • Coordinates customer return material authorization (RMA’s) and evaluation
  • Participates in failure analysis activities
  • Provides qualification conformance inspections, engineering support, and disposition
  • Handles non-conforming material review and disposition
  • Performs quality system auditing, including internal and subcontractors/vendors
  • Maintains the approved vendor list, rates vendors and subcontractors,
  • Prepares and manages customer product change notifications & waivers
  • Reviews and record customer source control drawing for manufacturing capability
  • Handles final lot reviews and certificate of conformance generation
  • Maintains compliance to ISO, AS, and IATF standards as they relate to our internal documentation and processes as well as Environmental standards & initiatives, including REACH and RoHS
  • Conducts internal audits
  • Monitors environmental conditions
  • Maintains and updates internal quality documentation.

Other Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support manufacturing and distribution activities for compliance
  • Participate in Customer and Supplier Interface Opportunities
  • Member of the Qualification Review Board, Material Review Board, and Technical Review Board
  • Monitor internal and external CARs and NCRs for on-time execution

Qualifications*

  • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar technical discipline
  • A minimum of 7 years ‘experience in a Quality role performing compliance and inspections in a manufacturing environment.
  • As a Rochester Electronics employee, it is expected that the individual positively supports the Rochester culture, and maintains strict adherence to work policies and practices set forth within the company.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in all aspects of semiconductor component manufacturing.
  • Ability to work within a team in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Basic computer skills with an understanding of Microsoft Office® software suite.
  • Ability to multitask and meets deadlines in timely manner.
  • Familiar with statistical process control & analysis techniques
