Salary Range: $56,235 – $85,353

The City of Hardeeville, South Carolina is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic professional to serve as Senior Planner for one of the region’s highest growth areas. Hardeeville is in the heart of the Lowcountry and is strategically located between Savannah, GA and Hilton Head, SC.
General Description
Under the general supervision of the Planning Manager and the Director of Planning, manage planning & development projects, which includes research, analysis, preparing plans, reports, studies and presentation of data. The ideal candidate must have:
- Knowledge of and experience with municipal government operations.
- Ability to engage effectively with the public and make presentations to various groups.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and receive direction from multiple people.
- Computer Skills: Proficient knowledge of GIS, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite as well as ability to learn new programs and systems
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor’s Degree in urban planning, urban design, architecture, land & property development, or related field and (3) three years successful experience in planning or a planning related field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of principles and practices of city planning as they pertain to development and zoning. Proven written and oral communication abilities. Knowledge and experience in long-range planning as well as development review. The salary range for this position is DOQ with an excellent fringe benefits package.
