Position
As a Louis Vuitton Senior Merchandising Manager, WLG you will be responsible for developing and executing the merchandising strategy for Women’s Leathergoods across LVA. Primary functions will include: lead buying strategy and in-season actions to support sales and sell-through objectives, develop and communicate product strategies to store network and regional merchandisers; partner closely with Paris Merchandising team as a collaboration; train and develop Merchandising team members.
Profile
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Build sales objectives for Leathergood’s with Director and VP of Merchandising
- Participate in multiple buying sessions in Paris annually – buying the seasonal collection and reviewing investment strategy with the central Merchandising team
- Create launch strategy and supervise product flow to stores for Newness in close partnership with Supply Chain
Decision Making
- Evaluate and recommend store distribution
- Identify new business opportunities – product, network, marketing
- Involvement in department’s succession planning by training, developing and identifying support personnel
- Work in cooperation with training department to develop category-specific trainings for store managers and associates
Commercial Mindset
- Maximize sell through and mitigate depreciation risk through weekly business analysis
- Work with CR team to identify opportunities to grow client base and partner on event/activation planning
- Provide monthly qualitative and quantitative business reports for VP Merchandising and Paris Product team
The appointed candidate will be offered a salary within the range of USD $130,000 - $145,000 annually, plus the opportunity for a bonus, a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discount/perks and two retirement plans both with employer contributions.
This position is located at our Louis Vuitton Corporate Office in NYC and honors the opportunity for a hybrid on-site schedule.
