Position Summary

The Senior Manager, HR Technology and Governance position will develop HR’s technology long term objectives and roadmap designed to improve the coworker experience. In coordination with IT Business Technology, the Senior Manager will manage the technology footprint for all HR systems. They will proactively work with HR teams and IT Business Technology to replace aging HR systems and identify opportunities where HR business processes could be addressed through technology implementation. They will drive results by aligning human resources workforce strategies and initiatives with business and company strategies.

This position will play a critical role in transitioning the current core HR data system from SAP ECC HCM on premise to SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, as part of an enterprise (ERP) initiative. This position reports to the Senior Director, HR Technology & Strategic Projects, and will provide executive level reporting on technology.

This position is classified as a hybrid work type. The successful candidate should plan to work from the Oakland General Office 0-3 days per week, on average or as business needs require.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.

A reasonable salary range is:

California Minimum: $​140,000
California Maximum: $​238,000

Job Responsibilities

Supervises small team of Business Operations Specialists. May also manage a large indirect, matrix team of multi-disciplinary experts.
Consults with Senior HR Leadership to define and be accountable for executing on company HR strategy using HR systems and technology.
Be a trusted member and partner to various HR functions (compensation, talent, etc.) as well as well as HRBPs, to understand their business processes, operational needs, issues, and opportunities, and create solutions to scale business operations and ensure compliance.
Maintain a close partnership and collaboration with our IT partners.
Develop and maintain an intake process to manage small technology requests used to prioritize and determine the yearly Non-Project Application Enhancement (NPAE) spend.
Oversee organizational change management as it relates to technology and systems. Holds workshops, brown bags, and custom presentations to educate varying audiences about HR technology and systems.
Identify and lead continuous improvement efforts related to HR Systems and technology functionality and capability.
Oversee the SAP SuccessFactors portfolio and processes to identify and develop automation opportunities. Stays current on SAP SuccessFactors and partner technology solutions.
In partnership with IT, understand and evaluate the evolving marketplace in the HR systems space so the most contemporary thinking and targeted innovations are brought to bear in the evolutions of our talent strategy.
Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance employee and end-user experience, as well as improve the capabilities, usability, and adoption of all existing HR systems.

Qualifications

Minimum:
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, Economics, Business Administration or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
8 years of job-related work experience to include human resources processes, HR systems and technology, program/project management, process management, including supervisory or leadership experience
