Job Description: TechLaw is seeking a Senior Level Project Manager to provide technical and project management expertise, primarily in support of our environmental consulting work for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and Remediation Services for the Department of Defense and other Federal, State and local government agencies. This is a full-time management position in our downtown Chicago, IL, Lowell, MA office(s) or Knoxville TN office(s) (partial remote work also an option; relocation reimbursement considered), working with scientists and project managers who are experts in environmental engineering, remediation, risk assessment, hydrogeology, geology, chemistry, soil science, sampling and analysis, hazardous waste investigations, remediation, and public outreach. This position will involve: project and contract management; environmental investigation and remediation work plans, designs and reports; developing strategies for the remediation and closure of large CERCLA and RCRA sites; remediation/operation & maintenance/long term monitoring; and evaluating site documentation for compliance with federal, state and local standards; report writing; and, oversight of field investigation/remediation activities. The preferred candidate will also have corporate mentoring experience to support our extensive involvement in the Department of Defense's Mentor-Protégé program, which provides guidance to small firms.

Salary Range: $135,000 to $165,000 DOE
Required Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, environmental science or related field
- Experience with management of field investigations, remediations, and engineering and consulting projects
- Over 15 years of experience in a variety of environmental investigation activities, such as sampling, assessments, and document review and preparation, preferably involving sites regulated under CERCLA and/or RCRA
- Over 10 years of experience in project management, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource management
- Experience managing Firm Fixed Price contracts.
- Excellent reading comprehension and writing skills
- Good ability to multi-task
- Meticulous attention to detail
- The ability to work independently and yet be team oriented
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Certification, such as a PE, PG, LSP, and/or PMP
- A master's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or related discipline and/or a professional registration
- Experience developing and working within Joint Venture contracting structures
Physical Requirements:
- Must have the flexibility and ability to travel up to 25%
- Must have a valid driver's license, good driving record and be able to drive in company provided vehicle

- The position requires the ability to pass a background check to access Department of Defense sites.
