Position Summary: The Senior Financial Analyst for Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is responsible for the company’s short and long-range forecasting, strategic analysis, management reporting, and high priority regulatory deliverables as it relates to any required risk governance. This Senior Financial Analyst will be embedded within a specific division (technology, marketing, supply chain), analyzing aggregate results and increasing financial transparency to drive performance and promote proactive business planning.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Build and present insightful materials that outline financial trends, risks, and opportunities, and enhance decision making

• Conduct business studies on past future and comparative performance, identify trends, analyze and interpret data, conduct benchmarking and process analysis, recommend actions to senior management supported by financial analysis.

• Working with business units on meaningful and advanced analytical forecasting and return on investment analysis

• Build and maintain division budgets and forecasts

• Maintain financial and operational metrics based on key performance indicators (KPI’s)

• Maintain the monthly rolling forecast process; updating business unit models by adding historical data and working with the business partners to generate rolling forecast

• Partner with division president with developing and coordinating presentations for Executive Management and the Board of Directors

• Establish strong partnership with business units to ensure organizational and automation

• Complete and deliver critical ad-hoc analysis as required

• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  

Experience and Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

• 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, planning and forecasting specifically within a public company or management consultancy

• Ability to quickly assimilate, synthesize, and analyze large amounts of data and information

• Advanced experience in NetSuite or related financial software required

• Strong working knowledge of GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles

• In-depth knowledge and proficiency with business intelligence, preferably Power Bl

• Strong quantitative and analytical competency, with experience with statistical analysis and statistical packages

• Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the function

• Proven working experience as a financial analyst in a corporate finance environment

• Well informed in current financial subjects, accounting, and business environments

• Ability to juggle various work activities and shift their attention from one task to another to meet the demands of different stakeholders without “dropping the ball”.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy, team-oriented environment and have a “roll up your sleeves” and “today not tomorrow” mentality.

• Apply active listening skills through the ability to comprehend information presented and respond thoughtfully.

• Detail-oriented and can focus on the task at hand, no matter how minute, by finding the most efficient and effective pathway to completion.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required for communicating with internal and external parties in a manner that is both articulate and professional.

• Ability to logically connect ideas, scrutinize and evaluate arguments, find inconsistencies and errors in work, solve complex problems, and engage in reflection.

• Ability to provide timely and empathetic help through in-person, phone, email, and social media avenues that keeps the co-worker or customer’s needs at the forefront of every interaction.

• Ability to communicate effectively, to recognize, understand, and manage one’s own emotions as well as others, and foster positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.

• Holding oneself responsible and being self-driven in accomplishing business goals, adhering to policies and being responsible for one’s own actions, performance, and decisions.

• Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and/or Access).

• Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
  

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:

• Master’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field preferred

• Prior experience in the residential home services industry a plus
