Job description

Responsible for the preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual consolidated reporting and ensuring accurate analysis and timely delivery of financial information, required reports and ad hoc projects.

Primary Duties

  • This position will work to improve reporting, analysis, requests and projects within given time frame
  • Review existing processes and deliver suggestions for process improvements/enhancements and once agreed/signed off by management ensures successful implementation
  • Support/create analysis that creates the annual budget, rolling forecasts and other forecasting requirements
  • Create and generate templates that support SKNA required variance analysis
  • Accelerate completion of analysis requests from the operations side of the divisions
  • Create in depth standardized monthly reporting for the business units
  • Create bandwidth during the close to improve work life balance for others in the Finance department as the move to streamline and reduce close to a 1.5 day.
  • Create bandwidth for other staff coverage when needed
  • Able to work across different business units
  • Capable of building strong relationships internally and externally
  • Able to solve practical problems and streamline processes
  • Attention to detail, proactive attitude and applies analytical thinking
  • Able to gain buy in from management on various process improvements and ensures successful implementation
  • Reports sound information to management supporting them in their decision making
  • Exercises a significant degree of discretion and independent judgment
  • Ability to work independently
  • Learn relevant local and company requirements, rules and procedures. Strictly follows rules and guidelines and always uses the right procedure for the job. Promptly reports incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions or processes. SKNA employees regardless of level, position or tenure are responsible for upholding the safety standards regulations and policies.

Requirements:

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field
  • CPA or MBA preferred
  • Prior experience working with Smurfit Kappa in finance and control
  • Experience with the Group's Financial Reporting Guide
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, dealing with individuals at all levels
  • High energy, with the ability to work in fast-paced environment
  • Computer proficiency - Advance MS Office (Excel pivot tables and VLookup)
  • Thorough knowledge of the industry
