Job Description
Position Purpose:
The Sr. Plant Ops Finance Analyst will support the Operations Organization in all aspects of facility management. The position is highly visible to management and senior management and is a fundamental contributor to OPS Fin team. The role performs key processes such as month end closure, forecasts, and budgets. The person in this role will:
- Prepare periodic (monthly, quarterly, annual) financial and operating reports, report packages, bridges and analyses.
- Proactively drive ideas for analysis, cost savings and other efficiencies by presenting analysis to management and actively collaborating with key stakeholders
- Recommend business solutions to improve plant operations efficiencies.
- Drive continuous process improvements in reporting, forecasting, and budgeting activities through automation, system enhancements, data quality, consolidation, and quality improvement.
- Prepare ad-hoc management analyses and create financial models.
Major/Key Accountabilities:
- Partner with the Plant Ops Team to develop solutions that meet the customer’s needs and remains cost effective for CHEP.
- Interface with all levels of management (including CFO and SVP of Supply Chain) to articulate proposal specifics and obtain approval.
- Analyze complex data sets.
- Understand underlying data and report structures.
- Work cross-functionally to obtain and interpret data.
- Provide detailed analysis and recommendations for cost out solutions.
- Identify and recommend opportunities to improve operational and financial processes.
Measures:
- The quality and effectiveness of strategic and operational decision support provided to Supply Chain Operations and the business within the market(s) under responsibility.
- The quality and effectiveness of the capital allocation decision support will be measured by the growth or change in ROCI performance for the region.
- The financial impact of Supply Chain Operations transformation initiatives identified to drive performance and achieve forecast/ targets as measured by their outcome.
- The quality of insight and commentary on the financial results and performance within the market(s)
- The % standard Supply Chain tools and processes developed and adopted within the market(s)

Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field required.
- 1 - 3 years of experience in finance or accounting
- Operations and CHEP specific experience a plus
- Excellent problem solving and quantitative analysis skills.
- In depth experience with financial models
- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
Skills and Knowledge:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (array formulas - VBA and macros preferred)
- Inquisitive and challenging status quo
- Excellent organizational, analytical, conceptual, communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work in a dynamic environment and be able to recommend and implement process improvements, work independently, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to develop and understand complicated financial analyses.
- Strong communication and presentation skills
