Analytic Partners Finance Team is looking for a versatile and experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join the Finance team. As an integral member of the FP&A team, we are looking for someone with corporate FP&A experience, who is a self-starter, an exceptional communicator, a team-oriented player, and someone who can roll up their sleeves in a dynamic fast-paced environment. The primary responsibilities for this role are financial planning, analysis and projection for the company including forecasting, full financial statements (income statement, balance sheet and cash flow), and capital expenditures, preparing return on investment analysis and participating in new business opportunity financial assessment processes. The Senior Financial Analyst must have a good general understanding of general accounting principles, be able to improve performance by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends and recommending actions to management, and predicting future results. This is a highly visible role in the organization, interfacing with all areas of the business. The Finance organization is looking for someone who thrives on collaboration in a multifaceted, fast-paced environment and who has excellent interpersonal skills.
What you’ll be doing:
- Build a robust annual and quarterly budget and forecasts
- Prepare analysis and reporting of financial results. Identify key drivers of performance and implement improvements where necessary
- Assist in monthly closing activities such as recording entries, reviewing, researching and preparation of monthly variance explanations, accruals and analytical support
- Develop reporting tools as needed
- Forecast and analyze contractual revenue and other topline metrics
- Monitor key business drivers with a good understanding of the overall business model, and deliver data-driven and actionable insights that drive decision-making
- Leverage ERP systems across HR, Financials and Analytical systems to automate and scale current processes
- Build and maintain strong, cross-functional relationships
- Participate in M&A projects including due diligence and integration processes
- Perform other duties and ad hoc reporting as assigned
What we look for in you:
- Exceptional business acumen, ability to quickly learn and understand industry, product offering, competitive and customer environments
- Outstanding skills in both understanding and interpreting financial statements (income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement), and financial modeling skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, highly motivated and driven professional, able to manage multiple high priority projects simultaneously with exceptionally strong work ethic
- Flexible to change work priorities and direction based on a fast-paced, ever changing business environment
- Outstanding ERP and financial system skills and demonstrated ability to learn new systems
- BS Finance or Accounting required, MBA preferred
- Knowledge of GAAP
- 3 years related experience
- High level utilization of Microsoft suite applications, including Excel and PowerPoint
- Prior experience with Adaptive Planning and Sales Force preferred
- Strong analytical skills, demonstrated ability to connect the dots, and ability to leverage those skills for predictive insights into forecasts
- Exceptional and demonstrated focus on accuracy, timeliness, and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, ability to work well across functional teams
