Senior Director of Corporate Partnership Development
Job description
Reporting to the Vice President for Workforce Development and Community Services, the Sr. Director of Corporate Partnership Development is the primary outreach representative for Vincennes University in its efforts to develop new workforce training programs and partnerships with employers, organizations, and agencies. The Sr. Director leads efforts to develop customized training solutions for employers to address current and future workforce needs, particularly in the form of residential training programs on the Vincennes campus.
- Serves as the University’s primary point of contact for the development of new corporate workforce partnerships, as well as expansion of existing partnerships.
- Works closely with partners and potential partners to determine workforce training needs, including the use of intake assessments and gap analysis.
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders and employer partners on the development of program curriculum, objectives and intended outcomes.
- Leads the negotiation of training agreements/contracts with employer partners.
- Promotes the University’s training and education offerings to state and federal workforce agencies.
- Works with University’s Grants Office in identifying and pursuing government grants and private endowment funds in support of workforce partnerships.
- Works with University’s Government Affairs as needed to advocate for support of expanded workforce partnerships.
- Interfaces with University Provost’s office to identify or develop credit-bearing and/or certificate-based credentials that may accompany training.
- Collaborates with University’s External Relations and Admissions offices to promote employer workforce partnerships.
- Partners with state and federal government workforce offices on expanding the University’s registered apprenticeships and work-based learning program offerings.
Minimum qualifications for successful candidates:
Bachelor's degree in Management, Business Administration, Technology, Engineering, or related field.- Ability to deliver training and education sales to Business and Industry.
- Ability to collaborate with state and federal Workforce entities.
- Ability to manage education and training program budgets.
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License and ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or higher.
- 5+ years of experience with training and education sales to Business and Industry.
- 5+ years of experience collaborating with state and federal Workforce entities.
- 5+ years of experience managing education and training program budgets.
- Experience in fields of advanced and “smart” manufacturing.
