We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join us remotely. You contribute to the development of our company-wide data platform, enabling data-driven decisions across all departments and supporting development of new customer services.
You take responsibility for our analytics infrastructure. Together with your team, you focus on building dynamic and scalable data pipelines, continuously improve the quality of the code and establish high-quality architecture standards.

Your Tasks
- You design, develop and maintain systems in our data mesh architecture to collect and analyze large data sets
- You oversee relevant parts of the data infrastructure and produce scalable and maintainable solutions
- You guide and mentor direct reports and oversee projects to their full extent, including cost/benefit decisions for new technologies
- You research, document and communicate your discoveries, evaluate new technologies and methods and discuss them with your colleagues
- You work closely with your colleagues, using modern agile software development methods
- You support the team in the adoption of CI / CD, clean code and high code quality
Your Profile
- You have more than 3 years of experience in software development and/or data engineering
- You gained professional experience in working with AWS and docker and are able to build scalable data infrastructure with a deep understanding of the underlying concepts
- You have mastered Python, usage of SQL is part of your daily work. A second programming language is a plus
- You love algorithms, design patterns, unit testing, SOLID and modular development as well as numbers, statistics and more complex calculations
- You have a global view of architecture and business logic
- You are an open and team-oriented personality and passionate in working in a cross-functional team
- You have fluent English skills
