The Internal Agency department is looking for a Senior Analyst, Strategic Analytics to join our cross-functional team. Internal Agency runs the programs that enable agents to sell products outside of the scope of our typical Liberty products along with supporting several referral programs.


The Senior Analyst will manage projects, or workstreams within a larger project, that are non-cyclical and varied. This role will be expected to explore new areas of opportunity, define and pitch business cases, and perform research and analysis. This role will also be expected to execute on new initiatives and continuous improvement/optimization opportunities.


Execution of work will typically align with the project management life cycle (initiating/defining; planning; executing; close-out) and be driven by current business needs. The expectation is that this role will work under limited direction from manager on complex tasks and new initiatives.


The role will require moderate amounts of analysis of data, while also demonstrating sound judgement in identifying the primary factors and measures of success for potential opportunities. This role will require presenting clear, compelling, and actionable, recommendations to internal agency and distribution channel leadership that will positively impact business results.


Responsibilities:

  • Leads workstreams within a larger sized project and/or leads moderately complex projects.
  • Owns or contributes to defining the business case and gaining buy-in with input from stakeholders.
  • Supports senior mgt. in evaluating new initiatives by leading and/or participating on cross-functional teams that analyze economic and operational viability of new opportunities
  • Conducts research and analysis to quantify and refine the opportunities, and produce data-driven, actionable insights.
  • Ability to handle competing priorities independently, and to assist in meeting overall project timelines and stakeholder needs.
  • Identifies and gains agreement on project objectives, scope, timing, and resources.
  • Plans activities/tasks that will deliver the desired results and oversees day-to-day work and monitoring of progress towards goals.
  • Conducts project meetings and prepares regular reports to communicate the status of projects to stakeholders within and beyond the project team.
  • Escalates and works to resolve issues that serve as roadblocks and/or place project objectives at risk. Identifies and provides visibility into trade-offs between options, while identifying recommended approach.
  • Performs project close-out steps to include identifying lessons learned/best practices to inform the success of future projects.
  • Applies continuous improvement methodologies throughout the project management lifecycle.
  • Applies advanced communication (verbal, written, presentation) and interpersonal skills.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in addition to 3+ years of relevant experience to include strategic analysis and solutions.
  • Proficient with Advanced Analytics tools.
  • Solid knowledge of product management principles and concepts.
  • Proven ability to manage the project management life cycle.
  • MBA or similar equivalency.
  • Displays strong communication, organizational, analytical, critical thinking, presentation, influencing, and relationship management skills; effective team building skills.
  • Solid business analytics knowledge to include understanding the function's value chain and market conditions strongly preferred.
