Buckeye Bahamas Hub, formerly Bahamas Oil Refining Company International Limited (BORCO), is a marine terminal located on Freeport, Grand Bahama. The terminal has the ability to store, blend, transship and bunker fuel oil, crude oil and various petroleum products.

Buckeye Bahamas Hub (BORCO) was constructed over the period 1968 to 1975 on 390 acres of developed land of a total of 565.2 acres owned. Construction commenced in 1968 with two distillation units that possessed a combined capacity of 250,000 barrels per day (1 barrel is equivalent to 42 U.S. gallons). It began operations in November 1970 as a refinery.

The refinery permanently shut down in 1985 and Buckeye Bahamas (BORCO) began operating as an independent storage terminal after that date. BORCO has 21.6 million barrels of storage capacity in 66 tanks; 6 offshore berths, two control rooms; and a waste recovery system.

Buckeye Bahamas Hub (BORCO) was acquired in 2011 by Buckeye Partners L.P.

Role Summary:

Ensure enforcement of Buckeye Bahamas ISPS security protocols.

Responsibilities & Essential Functions include:

• Ensure ISPS security procedures are enforced and make recommendations to improve same.
• Perform routine security patrols as required.
• Maintain a detailed dairy of activities at all security positions.
• Ensure non security personnel are not permitted in the guard houses, or surveillance room unless authorized
• Ensure vehicles and personnel effects of individuals entering and exiting Buckeye Bahamas’ facilities are searched as indicated by Security Supervisor or Superintendent.
• Ensure all personnel entering Buckeye Bahamas facility are in possession of a valid Buckeye Bahamas identification badge.
• Provide relief for the surveillance Officer and monitor surveillance systems (CCTV) to avoid breach of Buckeye Bahamas’ facility.
• Ensure all materials entering Buckeye Bahamas’ facility are accompanied by a contractor’s manifest the contents of which must be confirmed by security. On exit the manifest must be cross referenced with goods exiting then facility.
• Ensure all goods exiting Buckeye Bahamas’ facilities not accounted for on a contractors manifest are accompanied by a properly authorized goods outwards note.

• Maintain control of both vehicular and pedestrian traffic at Buckeye Bahamas’ entrance and exit points.

• Recognize and correct safety breeches observed within the facility.
• Immediately report any observed security breaches to Safety/ Security Officer.
• Maintain good communications with duty TSS and Safety Officers.
• Report security breaches to duty TSS and security Supervisor / Superintendent.
• Maintain a log of security equipment malfunctioning and follow up to ensure deficiencies are corrected in a timely manner.

• And other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or its equivalent

• 3+ years related experience.

• Must have a solid understanding of basic security procedures and possess in-depth knowledge of the regulatory requirements pertaining to ISPS.

• Must possess the knowledge and skills required to respond to effectively respond to emergencies.

• Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite is required.

Certificates & Licenses:

• ISPS certified

Physical & Safety Requirements:

• This person must perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as lifting, walking, and handling of materials.

• Position may require exposure to adverse weather conditions, hazardous environments and require the physical stamina to work 12 hours shifts.

• Required use of all safety equipment in performance of job.
