Assists in the operations of the Noninvasive Cardiology Department which includes clerical support for Echocardiology, Vascular Lab, Cardiology Lab, and Nuclear Medicine Labs. Provides secretarial support which includes maintaining accurate records, processing patient information, handling telephone calls and visitors, sorting & distributing in-going & out-going mail, assisting with patient scheduling, ensure required documentation is complete prior to testing, communication with providers and nursing units, serve as liaison with physician practice schedulers, performs EKG, Cardiac mobile telemetry monitor placement, manages testing interpretation assignment, serves as principal EKG trainer for all services, manages EKG cart supplies, manages outreach clinic testing results and ensures routed to the correct facility and physicians. Practices exceptional customer communication skills. Fosters and models the principles of professionalism and teamwork and ensures patient and staff confidentiality, adhering to all Hospital, State & Federal regulations. Proficient in computer skills and electronic medical record utilization.High school graduate possessing typing skills, communication skills for dealing with public and medical community, aptitude for operation of computers, file systems, dictation units.
