Seasons Supermarkets offers its customers a full-service kosher shopping experience, where everyone, including its highly dedicated employees, is like family.

Seasons opened its first store in Queens, New York in 2011 and has since become the nation’s largest chain of kosher supermarkets. Under new ownership since December 2018, the company has undergone significant capital improvements and across-the-board enhancements to its shopping experience.

Responsibilities include:

• Oversee operations and staffing for the department.
• Ability to handle knives and other cutting equipment related to seafood
• Ability to work in a cold/wet environment
• Work with upper management to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets
• Handle all aspects of daily seafood operations including profitability, expense control, buying, and Merchandising
• Responsible for making sure all cases, displays, and coolers are kept full and organized with correct signage
• Be the final say on quality control, packaging, and sell-by dates, and be vigilant about quality and presentation.
• Knowledgeable of all seafood products including cooking times and methods, product source, how it was raised (farm or wild), and whether products are freshly caught or previously frozen
• Safely cut, clean, weigh, and package fish and other products for sale according to customer requests
• Select, train, develop, mentor, motivate, and counsel Seasons team members in a manner that builds a high-performance team and minimizes turnover.
• Seafood manager is expected to have a thorough knowledge of seafood and stay ahead of industry trends
• Work with marketing and design teams to promote seafood products and set weekly ads.

Requirements

• Must be able to commute within the NY/ NJ area.
• Ability to lift 50 plus lbs.
• Kosher experience is preferred.
• Spanish speaking is a plus.
