Qualifications:
The ideal candidate would possess: · At least 1 year laboratory experience including molecular biology and cell culture techniques · Virology background preferred. · Experience with virus production highly desired.· Experience with BSL-2+ lab environment preferred. · Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills · Good communication skills · Ability to work independently and as part of a team; self-motivated, adaptable, and a positive attitude · Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies · Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills · Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail · Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude · Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies. Basic Minimum Qualifications: · BS or MS in Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Eng., or related science or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)

Responsibilities:
Virus Production Scientist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: · Production and titering of HIV stocks to support early discovery programs · Preparation and/or sourcing of plasmid DNAs and reagents to support virus production · Maintain virus stock/plasmid database · Document work clearly · Communicate effectively with team members · Execution of laboratory studies in a safe and efficient manner
