Middle School Science Teacher

Oakland Unity Middle School (OUMS) is a middle school operated by Unity Schools. Unity Schools currently also operates Oakland Unity High School (OUHS) which was founded in 2003 as an independent charter high school open to all students in Oakland.

Located in East Oakland, OUMS serves 160 6th-8th grade students. Over 80% of our students qualify for free or reduced lunch and over 50% come from immigrant families whose home language is not English. We seek teachers who have the calling and determination to work with this population.

Qualifications

• Valid California teaching credential or prepared to enter an Intern program to obtain the credential
• Proficiency in technology is a must

Compensation

• Salary: $50-$72,500 plus 100% Health, Vision, and Dental for Self and Dependents
• Opportunities to earn additional compensation for leadership roles and responsibilities as assigned by the principal.
