As a Scheduling Specialist – Prior Authorizations you are often the first point of contact for our patient and their families. As such, we value representing an important first impression. Our professionalism, expertise and dedication help ensure that our patients receive the quality of care they need. We are diligent in obtaining complete and accurate insurance and demographic information in a timely manner. This enables us to provide high quality, compassionate health care service to all who need them, regardless of their ability to pay.

This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8am - 4:30pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Our office is located at 1750 Northrop Blvd. Chandler, AZ 85296 .

Primary Responsibilities:

• Answers all phone calls from 3 phone ques (scheduling, high priority, and overflow)
• Intakes all demographic information for new patients
• Updates demographic information for existing patients
• Collects insurance information
• Requests medical records from the pcp/hospitals/referring physician for new patients
• Schedules/Reschedules/Cancels patient's appointments for multi-location multi-providers for an Internal Medicine practice
• Routes calls throughout the office to the appropriate department
• Relays messages from patients/specialist/pharmacies to the appropriate individual
• Required to have excellent telephone etiquette
• Willing to work with others as well as an individual to meet company goals
• Handle 90+ incoming calls daily

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
• 2+ years of prior authorizations in Radiology, ATU, or Cardiology
• Ability to work Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm, 100% onsite at 1750 Northrop Blvd. Chandler, AZ 85296

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous local insurance experience
