Our sanitation members delight our consumers with immaculate facilities. As a member of Johnsonville’s sanitation team, you’ll ensure that our facilities are cleaned in accordance with strict procedures to meet or exceed our high sanitation and food-safety standards. You’ll work with chemicals, hoses, lifts, and other equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare production equipment for cleaning by locking out machinery and covering all electrical equipment.
• Use of cleaning and sanitizing chemicals.
• Rinse, foam, scrub and sanitize production equipment ensuring that all areas meet Johnsonville’s and USDA’s standards of acceptability
• Conduct environment and bioluminescence swabbing
• Wipe condensation
• Must be able to complete sanitation documentation paperwork accurately.
• Must be able to identify Critical Control Points (CCPs) in the area of responsibility and maintain all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Ability and openness to work in other production lines/rooms within the facility when this specific line is not running production.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Strong math background is required.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
• Must have basic computer skills
• Willing to work in a refrigerated environment (less than 40 degrees)
• Must be able to become certified in chemical usage

Other Requirements:

• Ability to pass a pre-employment, post offer drug screen, physical and background check.
