Acadian Ambulance Services, Inc., has an immediate opening for a Runner in Lafayette, LA. The general job summary is to assist the Facilities Maintenance department during the grass cutting season and lead/oversee ground work. As well as assist the Fleet Maintenance department by delivering and picking up company vehicles scheduled for preventative maintenance or repairs.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Deliver and pick up company vehicles as requested to assist fleet maintenance with the performance of preventative maintenance or repairs.
• Pick up and deliver vehicle parts and supplies.
• Maintain Acadian grounds during grass cutting season
• Delegate/organize tasks during grass cutting season
• Exhibit strong leadership skills
• Review equipment on ambulance and complete equipment checklists.
• Stock Ambulance with equipment, to include stretchers, oxygen bottles and other items which could weigh over 50 lbs.
• Wash company vehicles.
• Re-fuel company vehicles.
• Assist with shop maintenance—this includes, but is not limited to, sweeping, trash disposal, organizing supplies.
• Work with supervisors and crew members to coordinate the transference of vehicles to and from the vehicle maintenance shop.
• Utilize company radios and other communication methods.
• Perform all other duties as requested by supervision.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Clean driving record.
• Current driver’s license (Class-D)
• Experience using heavy equipment/tractors
• Experience in a lead or supervisor role is a plus

Pay rate is $12-$15 per hour
