Cumberland Hospital for Children and Adolescents is a unique acute care, inpatient specialty hospital with 110 licensed beds, including Med Surg. and Residential Treatment Center; staffed by the finest physicians and treatment teams. We treat patients, ages 2-22 who have chronic illnesses, brain injuries and neurobehavioral disorders with co-behavioral issues.
Cumberland Hospital sits on 100 peaceful riverfront acres surrounded by countryside and wildlife. Our facility is laid out campus style with a year-round accredited school for our patients. We're conveniently located in eastern Virginia between historic Williamsburg and Richmond, near beaches and 2.5 hours from Washington D.C. Qualifications:
Essential Duties:
- Initiates precertification with patient’s insurance company and provides ongoing utilization review based on the patient’s progress in treatment.
- Promotes coordinated, effective treatment by facilitating the communication between patient/family, physician/treatment team and payor
- Coordinates timely transitions to the next level of care.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors or Masters prepared clinician with experience in acute psychiatric inpatient settings or with insurance precertification and discharge planning experience.
- RN with psychiatric and precertification experience.
- Valid RN (State of VA or compact state) License required, behavioral health and precertification and concurrent review experience preferred.
- Case Management experience preferred.
