Harbor Gateway is a small busy Year Round Gas Station/Liquor Store/Convenience Store. We are located in Seward. A small town located at the end of the Seward Highway on the Kenai Peninsula, 120 miles south of Anchorage.

Our busy season is May through September and we are seeking people who can commit to the end of the season.

Housing is provided and is 2 miles from the job location. The living space houses 3 people. This quaint cabin is located in a large, wooded setting. It consists of a small kitchen, Livingroom, dining room, average size bathroom, and washer/ dryer. two bunks separate from the living area and a bedroom with two twin beds.

Must be 21 years of age, and have a TAPs card to sell liquor.

Essential Job Functions:

• Provides exceptional customer service, representing Harbor Gateway in a positive manner including but not limited to, a pleasant greeting, smiling, making eye contact, processing the transaction accurately, thanking the customer and inviting them to return
• Responsible for all retail sales, selling tobacco and alcohol in accordance with federal, state, local and company rules and regulations
• Open/Close store as needed
• Handles cash and operates a computer based cash register
• Balances cash register at the end of shift
• Performs daily station cleaning while maintaining a safe work environment
• Complies with company standards on carding customers for all age restricted products
• Prepares food & drinks, cleans, stocks and maintains food prep area in compliance with health codes
• Maintains inventory, restocks shelves, refills dispensing machines
• Ensures security of store items to aid in loss prevention
• Takes reasonable precautions and measure to protect company assets
• Ensures cleanliness of store is maintained
• Ensures all packaged goods are clean and merchandised properly
• Ensures cash is properly reconciled and closing report is executed on closing shifts
• Courteous, professional contact with co-workers, customers, vendors and community at large
• Neat appearance and good personal hygiene in compliance with company image standards
• Preserves the safety of self, fellow employees and all others in the work location
• Conducts all transactions and register duties accurately, quickly and in accordance with Company guidelines and procedures
• Performs daily station responsibilities, including cleaning duties inside and outside, prepares quality food products, and stocks merchandise
• Interacts and communicates effectively and productively with others
• Provides regular and predictable attendance
• Supports Store Manager as directed
• Observes and complies with all company safety policies and procedures
