The ideal candidate will have a strong customer service background, excellent communication skills, be team and detail oriented, be dependable with an excellent attendance record, work independently as needed with minimal supervision, and have strong computer skills. Inventory control and database management is preferred.
SUMMARY
Assists in the receiving, verifying and barcoding of product. Maintains levels of inventory/merchandise and supplies in store locations. Performs cycle inventory counts in stores and warehouse. Assists with Headquarters database in maintaining inventory control levels. Handles paperwork, sells product, relays policies, trains and promotes positive professional communications with staff and the general public.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Receives incoming gift shop merchandise, reconciles product and purchase order details.
Accurately counts and barcodes all products received.
Accurately enters data in the computer for inventory accountability.
Prepares various departmental reports for review by the VP of Retail.
Prepares and distributes inventory to various store locations as needed.
Verifies and maintains appropriate inventory levels at each location as assigned.
Assists with merchandising of products in all store locations.
Immediately reports any discrepancies in inventory to the VP of Retail
Processes ticket transactions by accepting cash, credit cards, company checks and arranged credit accounts.
Provides all aspects of customer service including, but not limited to: greeting customers, answering customer questions and helping customers with special needs.
Responsible for cash bag, including keeping proper cash amounts needed for day-to-day sales, balancing after each shift, making deposits after each shift and recording reasons for over/shorts to accounting and/or VP of Retail.
Serves as a liaison between staff and the VP of Retail.
Sells product and processes merchandise transactions by accepting cash and credit cards in all store locations as needed.
Ensures warehouse is organized and products are accessible.
Accurately and clearly labels products in the warehouse.
Assists in the training of the retail staff.
Assists with scheduling as needed.
Ships products and maintains related files.
Assists with relaying all new policies and procedures with the retail staff.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two years related cash handling and customer service experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Database management and inventory control experience preferred.
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software and be proficient in Spreadsheet software; Word Processing software, and Database software.

Work is performed primarily in a warehouse /sales environment with extensive public contact and frequent interruptions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to work all weekends, holidays, overtime and various shifts ranging from 7:00 am – 9:30 pm Mon. – Sun. as needed is required.
