ACJ is looking for an experienced and motivated merchandiser who would love to make our Independent Pharmacies look amazing and drive more sales with our Over the Counter offerings. As a retail merchandiser, you are the connection between the sales floor and customers. To maximize performance, you ensure that inventory is in the right place at the right time. A retail merchandiser creates the right image to entice customers to buy products. It is your job to increase sales and maximize profits. You may oversee the creation of store displays or create and distribute sales tactic training materials. Most retail merchandisers understand marketing and how to increase interest in a business.
You will work in small to medium size retail indpeendent pharmacies. outlets or department stores as a retail merchandiser. You should have sound marketing skills and an advanced understanding of retail trends.
Responsibilities for Retail Merchandiser
- Detect and analyze market trends and competitor promotion to properly maintain optimum displays of product
- Enforce standards and create sales tactics training material, including information on social media
- Maintain and restock the company's inventory with efficiency and arrange to be credited for damaged or unused promotional items
- Preserve customer relationships by responding to special requests, answering questions and coordinating training
- Help store sales representatives by using unique promotional items and displaying end-cap special promotions
- Set up and tear down shelving, stock inventory and maintain various store fixtures to uphold company appearance
- Travel to multiple local businesses each day to assist in product assembly or merchandise resets
- Order merchandise, audit inventory and build displays
Qualifications for Retail Merchandiser
- Experience in cards and gifts required
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel with experience in creating pivot tables, vlookups and formulas
- Experience in strategic marketing goal creation and implementation based on needs and demand
- Working knowledge of client relationships along with marketing promotions, customer focus and territory management
- Demonstrated ability to create a daily competitive analysis and distribute reports on a weekly basis
- Experience in product knowledge with a fine attention to detail while taking the initiative to promote innovative ideas to the team
- Required knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be an outstanding communicator with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced sales environment
- Capability to forecast emerging trends and make creative decisions to promote smooth progression of retail relationships
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
