Garden State Diner is a fast casual, high volume restaurant, serving American cuisine in Busy Newark Airport.
We are seeking a talented industry professional who is as passionate as we are about creating an amazing dining experience for our guests. Our classic milkshakes & home made food must be accompanied by a great staff & lead by incredible managers.
FOH Managers are needed for AM & PM shifts.
Valid Serve Safe Certificate is required.
The right candidate will have had prior leadership and management experience in a high volume restaurant, along with exceptional communication, professional conduct, and a collaborative spirit.
Additionally, the right candidate must be able to train newly hired Servers, Bussers, Cashiers, Hosts & Milkshake Makers to the steps of service and the standards of the Garden State Diner. These standards will be maintained and supported by all managers and staff.

SHIFTS:
50-60 Hours a weekly
Day to day duties include but are not limited to:
Supervision of all FOH staff members, customers and situations that may arise.
Guest relations
Employee relations
Responsible for FOH Training Server, Busser, Host, Cashier
Pre-shift roll calls and meetings
Post shift responsibilities
Ensuring staff follows proper procedures
Working and communicating closely with other Garden State Diner store managers to update store issues and conditions and effectively resolve situations.
Daily & Weekly house-keeping
Ensuring proper food and beverage quality & plate presentation
Equipment up-keep, maintenance and repair
End-of-shift register reconciliation and daily cash handling
Proper communication with Upper Management/Owners
Certifications:
ServSafe Certification
POS Experience
Hotschedules or like Online Staffing Experience
Experience Using Various Office Programs Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
