Equinox is a Residential Treatment Center for middle and high school aged boys who have experienced relational and/or attachment trauma. We emphasize trauma informed healing in a small, nurturing environment on a summer camp type campus located just outside of Asheville, NC. We are a relationship based, character focused and experientially applied treatment center for young men with a variety diagnoses. We believe our staff make the difference for our students and we continue to seek qualified applicants to join our team in order to make a positive, lasting impact on youth from across the country.

This is great experience and on the job training that can be a #stepping stone for work in Mental Health and Social Work. The #YouthCounselor, #DirectCareStaff, are supervising and helping to counsel and support students to ensure their safety while offering feedback and modeling, maintaining healthy relationships with both students and staff. Our ideal candidate is looking to grow within the behavioral health field via experience and/or education. We welcome those with a high school diploma, GED, bachelors and those working towards a master’s degree.

Job Requirements include:

All SHIFTS AVAILABLE - FULL TIME/PART TIME. Overnight and weekend availability preferred.

7am-3pm | 3pm-11pm | 11pm-7am

• High School diploma/GED required
• Must be able to walk up/down stairs and deal with slight elevation changes from building to building.
• Experience with youth preferred.
• Experience in a residential setting preferred.
• In this position you will demonstrate commitment and responsibility in completing all job duties including:
• Complete the shift log
• Complete resident chart maintenance, filing, and other paperwork duties as assigned.
• Complete all training modules, and attend required staff meetings as directed by supervisor.
• Perform all other job duties as assigned, or as may be required by your supervisor.
• Consistently exercise good judgment and adequate emotional stability in evaluating situations and making decisions despite the pressures of deadlines or the occurrence of unexpected stressful events.
