SUMMARY/OBJECTIVES

It is the responsibility of the Remediation Analyst to take ownership of all tasks and challenges that they encounter in the operation of their assigned position. The Remediation Analyst executes the customer remediation process, change control process, and other compliance projects to ensure conformity and adherence with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of applicable federal and state banking laws and regulations, as well as the Bank’s organizational structure, products and services, and operating systems, and applying in the execution of daily duties and responsibilities. Contributing to the execution of the Bank’s customer remediation efforts and enhancing compliance processes to prevent regulatory violations from reoccurring.

Duties and responsibilities for execution of the remediation process include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Providing guidance and direction to employees reporting potential remediation issues.
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation to support Bank remediation efforts to meet regulatory expectations, including detailed remediation project plans.
  • Collaborating with internal and external resources to ensure the execution of remediation project plans within established timeframes.
  • Reviewing remediation root cause and impact analyses for reasonableness.
  • Validating the appropriateness and accuracy of customer restitution.
  • Analyzing existing policies, procedures, systems, controls, etc. to determine likely effectiveness of proposed preventative control measures, and ensure actions taken are fully executed to mitigate future occurrences.
  • Entering accurate and complete information in issue management tool for tracking and reporting purposes.
  • Assisting the Remediation Manager/IT Compliance Analyst with non-remediation related duties as necessary.

  • Advanced Excel skills. Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Visio. Working knowledge of various systems utilized by the Bank, including core operating system and account origination systems.

Qualifications, Education, and Certification Requirements

  • Education: Bachelors’ degree preferred.
  • Experience: At least five years of applicable industry experience in bank operations, regulatory compliance, risk management, or project management.
  • Certifications/Specific Knowledge: Fiserv Premier Navigator Specification knowledge preferred.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/CLASSES

  • Required annual compliance training.
  • New Employee Orientation.
  • Enterprise Compliance personnel are also required to complete continuing compliance education per year. Training requirements are met through computer-based training, videos, webinars, teleconferences, or seminars.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, and reports. This position requires a large amount of time in front of a computer. This can be done sitting or standing with use of the right desk.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Telecommuting roles no matter if hybrid or 100% full time telecommuting must have a secure home office environment that is free from background noise and distractions. They must also have a reliable private internet connection that is not supplied by use of cellular data (hot spot). Cable or fiber connections are preferred. Requirements are subject to change, as new systems and technology is delivered. Travel may be required to come to meetings as needed.
