Corteva Agriscience is seeking to hire a Planning and Implementation Data Lead for our Regulatory and Stewardship group (RAS). This position can be based at our Global Headquarters in Indianapolis, IN or our Johnston, IA campus.

The RAS Planning and Implementation Data Lead is responsible for developing and supporting the data analysis, reporting, and logic flow needs for planning and execution for RAS within the RAS Operations team.

  • Data Analysis
    • Understands data fields and their connections and impact to delivering for the business; escalates as needed if any anomalies found.
    • Applies data understanding to proactively perform data analyses for RAS Operations team and stakeholders.
    • Provides initial data interpretation to leaders to aid in decision-making and determining next actions.
    • Monitors RAS budgets throughout the year and works with Planning Lead to provide updates to leadership as needed.
    • Identifies opportunities for RAS through data mining of RAS budget and contracting data, submission and approval data, and other data sets as required.
    • Drives data analysis approaches for analyzing and reporting key metrics and KPIs.
    • Teaches and mentors other colleagues on understanding and analyzing data.
  • Data Integrity for Envision, RAS' planning and execution solution
    • Monitors data in Envision to ensure sound data integrity.
    • In conjunction with the RAS Planning and Implementation Leads and Envision product owner, contributes to further tool development, enhancements, and efficiencies as needed.
  • Reporting
    • Ensures successful data feed of RAS resources from the Envision system into the Business system.
    • Partners with System and Information Solutions team to develop tools and reports that enable functional groups to manage workload, track activity progress, identify risks/issues, and monitor budgets in a proactive manner.
    • Provides reports to management as requested to display resource, expenses, metrics, activity information or other data as needed.
    • Focal point for data access for reporting needs outside of RAS.
  • Processes
    • Contributes to and/or creates necessary documentation of critical processes.
    • Working with the RAS Planning and Implementation Leads, provides input on the development and updates of best practices for planning and execution as needed and ensures consistent application of those best practices.
    • Identifies further opportunities for process efficiencies as appropriate.
  • Builds and fosters strong partnerships with customers and key stakeholders.
  • Participates in special projects as requested.

Qualifications


Requirements:

What expertise have you grown? What do you bring to the table?

  • Minimum of BS degree in computer science, chemistry, biology, engineering, or related scientific field or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Previous regulatory experience (minimum 3-5 years) is desired.
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills required
  • Experience working with, moving ,and analyzing large datasets.
  • Aptitude to quickly understand how information is consumed and used by the customer.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, including both written and oral, is a must.
  • Strong project management understanding desirable.
  • Proficiency using Power BI, MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint is necessary along with the aptitude to utilize other internal IT systems as needed.
  • Understanding of the RAS planning process is a significant plus
