Eaton’s NAS North American Sales division is currently seeking a Regional Sales Manager West Region.
Regional Manager roles offer company car and guaranteed 40-hour paid week.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $83651.58 - $122688.98 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do:
Western Regional Manager – Datacom
Experienced sales management professional to lead a strategically based Territory Sales team consisting of 4 Agent/Manufacturer Representative companies with 17 individuals supporting the sales efforts. Through a focused and targeted account assignment strategy, the Western Regional Sales Manager – Datacom, will thrive independently while also leading the Team. They will maximize penetration into assigned markets/customers to drive revenue levels consistent with Eaton sales and marketing goals. Customers will consist of Datacom Distributors (Accu-Tech, ADI, Wesco/Anixter, Graybar, Rexel as well as smaller regional distributors), Agent Rep Firms, installers, end users and consultants.
Candidate will be covering the territory of WA, OR, MT, ID, WY, CO, UT, AZ, NM, CA, and NV. 35-60% regional territory travel is required.
- Blueprint assigned customer's organizations and decision-making processes.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing contacts while onboarding and building new relationships.
- Use existing relationships within the territory to assist Agent Firms in identifying new business opportunities with large accounts and high-profile organizations.
- Provide leadership to the team to service existing accounts, while closing new business through self-developed opportunity pipeline.
- Manage the metrics and work to exceed quarterly quotas in the region.
- Manage Agent/Manufacturer Rep Firms to revenue goals by having them provide annual plans, target customers and revenue targets within territory.
- Provide agents with quarterly review of their performance and needed guidance.
- Develop, grow and maintain sales and management relationships at all levels within the assigned territory.
- Engage appropriate internal resources as necessary to support sales pursuits.
- Manage pipeline to create new opportunities and close existing opportunities within the territory.
- Confer with assigned customers to identify applications, equipment, and Eaton solutions to meet customer needs.
- Create Spec position with Architects, Consultants, Engineers, and End Users.
- Advise customer in types of power protection and networking products to purchase by considering such factors as application, cost, space availability and sizing.
- Educate on products, promotions and training opportunities of product lines, new products and market trends.
- Establish and maintain an effective relationship with customers, through consultative and partnership selling activities, and a comprehensive understanding of their power protection needs.
- Support local and Regional Tradeshows as needed.
- Effectively manage expense and co-op budgets to achieve desired results and Return on Investment (ROI).
Qualifications:
Required Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- 5 plus years of Datacom channel sales experience in a major account environment selling into/through Datacom Distributors, Installers, and end users.
- Experience in account prospecting, strategic selling, application development and product solutions
- Based in any city within territory that has easy access to a major airport plus you must have the ability to work from a home office.
- Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous or current management experience working with manufacture rep organizations.
- BICSI/RCDD
Skills:
Working knowledge of Sales Force CRM, and Microsoft Office.- Excellent communication & presentation skills.
