Job description
Sony Biotechnology Europe has an opportunity for a Regional Sales Manager responsible for Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH Region). In this role you will be a key member of Sony’s innovative flow cytometry business European sales and leadership team.
You will help develop and deliver short and long term strategies to achieve budgeted revenue growth for the DACH Region with a primary responsibility to achieve sales targets in territory and to manage, coach, develop and directly contribute to a regional flow cytometry field based team of Sales Account Managers. This is a field based sales position with a preference for candidates located in Germany.
In this role you will:
- Manage and coach team members, authorize expense and travel claims and approve quotations and discount levels in Region
- Identify and create new business opportunities to fill the sales funnel
- Manage and close business opportunities through personal field selling activities
- Provide accurate Regional sales forecasting process and reporting
- Provide business intelligence and marketing intelligence from assigned Region through CRM platform (Salesforce)
- Define customer needs to position Sony Biotechnology products and services effectively in Region and ensure revenue target is achieved
- Represent Sony Biotechnology at relevant scientific conferences and tradeshows and ensure proper positioning of the company’s products and services Scope of Decision Making
You will have:
- Substantial experience in capital equipment sales within life science market and preferable flow cytometry
- Bachelor or advanced degree in life science area that utilizes flow cytometry (e.g. immunology, cell biology, bioscience)
- Direct sales experience both as an individual contributor and as a sales manager
- Experience in European flow cytometry industry in both instrumentation and consumables and service with personal record of increasing responsibilities
- Full Driving License
