Job Description


General Purpose

Leads, develops, and supports a regional staff that includes facility managers, transportation managers and hourly staff to support all segments of business. Works side by side with the Regional Operations Director.

Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

  • Develops teams through career planning, leadership development and goal setting.
  • Administers and communicates all Company policies and procedures, communicates to staff, interprets, as necessary, and ensures compliance and safety.
  • Manage business processes that lead to profitability growth while meeting service standards according to customer contractual agreements.
  • Develops subordinate managers and/or supervisors, particularly in the management techniques of planning, organizing, leading and controlling costs through continue coaching and feedback on performance, and conducting performance appraisals.
  • Promotes Regulatory Compliance, Safety and Security initiatives across the entire team. Ensures stringent adherence to Regulatory Compliance, Safety and Security protocols and takes steps to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in these areas.
  • Supports sales department in the implementation of new accounts, presentation of services, response to inquiries and technical information.
  • Plans, directs, implements, and ensures all waste processing functions are completed timely, accurate and sufficient to meet standards. Meets with TSDF (treatment, storage, disposal and facility) and Service Center Waste Processing teams regularly to discuss and analyze reports, with the goal of improving productivity, profitability and service.

Qualifications


Basic Required Qualifications:

  • A High School Diploma or GED
  • 5+ years working in logistics or similar experience
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • 2 + years Supervisory experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ experience hazardous waste
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience operating heavy equipment
  • Knowledge of RCRA, DOT and DEA Regulations as they relate to waste characterization and the transportation of hazardous waste
  • 40 hour Hazwoper and 8 hour refresher certifications
  • Ability to manage/prioritize several tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point
