Position Summary:

Loading, overseeing & operating the recycling shredder in order to properly process materials.

Position Responsibilities:

• Able to safely operate forklift to pick up waste pallets and carts.
• Identify waste ticket placed on units by supervisor and weigh unit on scale.
• Accurately input weight on waste ticket and summary sheets
• Troubleshoot machinery issues immediately.
• Thorough and proper housekeeping standards within the whole plant.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Basic Computer Skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail.
• Ability to add, subtract, & multiply
• Able to work extended work hours and weekends, as needed
• Self-motivated
• Able to work in varying temperatures
• Professional Attitude & conduct
• Ability to reconcile all work before it is turned into supervisor.

Pratt Recycling is a Pratt Industries company that works with communities and businesses across America to maximize landfill diversion by Harvesting the Urban Forest. The rapidly-expanding division has recycling and recovery facilities in ten states, and our operational footprint stretches from New York to California.

Hiring Requirements:

• High School Education or Equivalent.
• At least 3 years of forklift experience required.
• Previous machinery experience preferred.
• Be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
• Strictly adhere to safety requirements and the policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co–workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
• Be at least age 18 years of age due to nature of working environment.
• Random and Suspicion Drug tests are performed
• Please be aware that you must successfully complete a drug screen and background check in order to be hired into the Pratt Industries.
• The ability to work a full shift, come to work on time, work overtime as needed and the ability to work according to the necessary schedule to meet job requirements with or without reasonable accommodation is an essential function of this position.
