St. James Catholic School, in North Miami, Florida has an opening for a full-time Reading Coach for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year. The ideal candidate will assist with the coordination and implementation of the school reading plan, utilize the coaching model with teachers at the school, assist the administration and teachers in interpreting student assessment data, instruct small student groups, and plan and implement professional development workshops. The Reading Coach performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or Reading. Master’s degree preferred.
• Florida Department of Education State certification in Reading K-8 required.
• Must have certifications in Reading or Endorsement in Reading.
• Minimum of 3 years’ teaching preferred.
• Candidate should be familiar with MSOffice, online gradebooks, Google Suites, Apple Education and Smart Board; he/she should have a willingness to work with such technology.
• Candidate should be prepared to provide leadership in the fields of reading and writing.
• Strong skills in communication with compassion at all levels within the entity, both in the classroom and with administration.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Excellent oral and written English -language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
• Must be punctual and have a professional demeanor.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $39,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
