Job description

We are seeking applicants for the position of Railcar Unloader at our facility in Aston, PA. The Railcar Unloader is responsible for the safe and quality handling of customer and company property. This position works outside in all types of weather, driving, loading and unloading vehicles to and from railcars. There is a strong preference for prior experience working outdoors, performing manual labor or in a manufacturing environment, however this is not a requirement. As long as you are up to the physical and environmental demands of this job there will be on the job training.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Must be able to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles, including oversized vehicles
• Must be able and willing to work outside in all weather conditions
• Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime as needed including weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and holidays
• Must possess a valid driver's license and meet insurance requirements for coverage
• Must successfully complete a pre-employment physical Human Performance Evaluation
• Must successfully complete pre-employment drug screening
• Must successfully complete pre-employment (post offer) background and screening process
• Good communication skills and ability to work as a team member
• High School Diploma / GED
• Professional appearance and etiquette required
• Maintain Safe work habits

Physical Requirements

• MUST be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds over head
• Very frequent walking on potentially uneven surfaces
• Able to work in heights and possible tight spaces
• Walking, standing, climbing, squatting, bending, lifting, and kneeling are all required physical aspects of the job

Salary and Benefits

• $17.00 per hour starting wage

• Full benefits begin after 90 days.
• 401K with a 4% match after 1 year.
• Overtime available along with monthly and yearly safety bonus potential upon first day hired.
• Room for advancement and cross training for higher paying positions available.
