Job description
The Inpatient Quality Improvement Manager partners with inpatient departments and leaders to implement quality and safety related initiatives and efforts. With leadership collaboration, facilitates improvement initiatives by investigating workflows and analyzing data with the deliberate intent of developing recommendations for improvement in order to enhance quality and patient safety. Facilitates Quality Improvement Projects to meet the hospital mission, strategies, and objectives. Abstracts and submits clinical data to a variety of external regulatory agencies and institutional Committees/personnel with the purpose to organize processes for database interrogation and analysis in order to ensure compliance with all current regulatory requirements. Schedules and presents data and outcome information in a variety of formats to aid in data analysis and drive actionable initiatives. Educates Leadership and Brattleboro Memorial Hospital Personnel on a variety of data management, institutional and departmental Performance Improvement Initiatives. Also collaborates with leadership/staff managing regulatory compliance, patient satisfaction and or complaints as well as others who impact on the overall quality improvement vision of the organization.
- Excellent Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
- Demonstrated ability to organize work and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated strength in critical thinking and analysis\
- Demonstrated strength in data management
- Demonstrated strength in analytic skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
- Data query coding and analysis
- Minimum of 1 year experience in process analysis/systems thinking.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a healthcare setting or in healthcare data.
- Familiarity with CMS CoPs
- Remains current with continuing education requirements.
- CPHQ preferred
- Lean Six Sigma preferred
