Alarm.com is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our Partner Tools and Operations team, the team supports testing for multiple tools offered to our partners and internal stakeholders, the integration with some hardware devices and multiple software platforms. The Partner tools and operations QE will be working on critical priorities for the business and collaborating with internal teams like Sales, Marketing, and CORE to ensure our products meet quality standards of functionality and performance.

Responsibilities:

• Developing test plans and updating test documentation as needed before/during/after testing
• Executing tests, tracking defects, and following defects through the resolution process until fix is verified and closed.
• Interacting with Developers and Product Management to ensure the products and feature are ready for launch.
• Ensure partner portal web interface performance and usability on a weekly basis.
• Setting up and maintaining test environments and equipment.
• Triage urgent problems, prioritize accordingly, and propose a resolution
• Collaborate with our internal stakeholders to understand the needs and how the product will be used internally or by our partners.
• Be an advocate for our partners and internal stakeholders.
• Design and maintain weekly smoke test.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or related engineering discipline
• 1-2 years of QA experience in an agile environment
• Experience with functional and regression testing, test planning, test case development.
• Attention to detail and ability to provide clear, informative test steps
• Ability to take initiative, raise issues and take corrective action to ensure product quality
• Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting, time management, and analysis skills
• Team-focused, with a proven track record of thriving in a collaborative environment
• 'Willing to Learn' mindset
