TITLE: Mechanical Parts Quality Inspector

LOCATION: Onsite in Everett, WA

HOURS: 6am-2:30pm M-F

PAY RATE: $24+/hr DOE

*Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are seeking a Mechanical Parts Inspector for an exciting aerospace company which would be a great opportunity for someone with experience in quality inspection looking to further their career.

• Performs visual, dimensional, functional, and cosmetic inspection per documented inspection instructions with minimal supervision while adhering to documented time standards where applicable.
• Works from engineering drawings, specifications, quality assurance standards and verbal instructions to determine acceptance of product.
• Uses computer to document quality records and job status.
• Participates in continuous improvement teams. May assist in process audits.
• Verifies quality in accordance with statistical process and other control procedures.
• Uses basic to complex inspection measurement equipment and performs complex set-ups to check dimensions and geometric tolerances.
• Proficiently uses computer to document quality records, first article reports and job status updates.
• Takes initiative to detail drawing or process improvement recommendations to Engineering in effort to improve design and/or manufacturability of product
• Leads and participates in continuous improvement activity
• Perform first article inspection on new products, process changes, and to verify tooling repairs.
• Maintain the highest ethical standards, even when challenged from above.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· 2+ years inspecting fabricated/machined parts

· Regulated industry experience

· Proficient with inspection hand tools

· In depth knowledge and ability to apply advance shop mathematics, blueprint reading, geometric tolerances, and SPC

· Ability to multitask

· Basic computer skills to document work

· Excellent communication skills

BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:

· Aerospace experience

· Experience with OGP and/or CMM equipment

REQUIREMENTS:

To conform to U.S. Government International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), you must be a U.S. Citizen, Lawful Permanent Resident, or protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) to meet the minimum qualifications for this position.
