Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000 Based on Experience

Summary of Essential Job Functions
The Quality Systems Manager will provide complete support to maintain compliance in regulatory, GFSI and quality policies for NHBCO & CNHB. Must lead the plant in assessing Quality and Food Safety and initiate efforts for Quality improvement. Key member of the site management team and must assist the general manager in the incorporation of product safety, legality, and quality throughout the plant. Ensures that the company’s product safety, legality and quality systems are communicated and followed. This person will be the GFSI Compliance and HACCP Team Leader for the plant.
This position is responsible for the following: Daily tasks and QA projects, including enforcing GMPs, trainings, and product quality specifications. Assist in leading third party and customer audits. Maintenance of all quality, food safety and compliance programs and documents. This position will support the sister plants as needed through internal auditing, data entry, documentation review, inspection and other duties as necessary.

Specific Plant Duties:
- Observe product quality, HACCP functions, and documentation on a daily basis and be prepared to take remedial action.
- Validation that customer specifications and regulatory demands are being met.
- Accurate record keeping.
- Training and observing of all food safety and quality programs
- Monitors, communicates, and follows thru on any product quality or food safety issue. Includes employee conformance.
- Establishes and integrates product standards (specs) including visuals on the production floor.
- Monitors customer complaint evaluations and introduces problem solving solutions.
- Fulfill customers’ requests for product and facility related documents.
- Provides initial validation assessment of equipment, systems, and processes and as needed. Develops and tracks quality metrics related to validations.
- Oversee Quality Assurance department, contract sanitation and pest control services.
- Able to comprehend GMP’s, Sanitation processes, product recall procedures and HAACP & implement related policy.
- Work with computer software (Excel, Word, Power-point, etc.) on a daily basis.
- Annual Training of plant employees on food safety programs.
- Investigate and solve problems including non-conformities and customer complaints.
- Work with all other departments to maintain quality.

Specific Responsibilities Relating to Food Safety, Legality and Quality
- Enforces all quality and food safety programs.
- Verifies documentation is correct and record keeping is compliant.
- Properly reads, comprehends and completes required forms
- Reports and takes necessary action to prevent food safety, legality and quality problems from occurring.
- Follows and enforces programs and procedures outlined in the Food Safety and Quality Manual to support compliance with the GFSI Standard and other third party audits
