About the Mission You Will Join:

VMD has an opening supporting the USINDOPACOM LIS (Logistics Information Systems) providing application development for a key application supporting our nations warfighter's. The client requires software capabilities that provide situational awareness to decision makers and planners within Navy, Air Force and other branches of the military.

Your Impact to the Mission:

VMD seeks an enterprising data engineer, ideally with experience in Advana, Qlik Source, and DataBricks, but experience with Tableau or other data visualization technologies would suffice. The engineer will interact with and collaborate across a diverse project team of technical and non-technical personnel, and create new applications and data visualizations using Qlik Source to meet the requirements of the clients.

Experience Needed to Be Successful:

• Experience with Data Visualizations, Data Analytics, Databases/SQL.
• Experience with Qlik Source and DataBricks is not required, but would be a bonus.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience with Data Analytics, Data Visualizations.
• Experience with SQL, Oracle, MySQL and/or DB2
• Experience collaborating and working on diverse project teams from geographically separated locations
• Experience with DoD IT projects a plus

Basic Qualifiers:

• Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or related field of study
• Can Additional Years of Experience Substitute for Degree? No

• Desired Certification(s): MCTS, Security+, or Network+
