Python Developer

Location: Onsite in Englewood, CO or Onsite in American Fork, UT

Our client is looking for a Python Developer to join their Adaptive Player JavaScript team. As you may have noticed, the way we watch TV is going through a transformation. This cuts across multiple dimensions like video delivery mechanism, content discovery interfaces, highly competitive dynamics in the market, and the sheer multitude of content available to the customer. The Test Automation Engineer will contribute to Test Automation Development to ensure best customer experience with our products

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Understanding the requirements and developing test scripts in Python and OpenCV.
• Enhance the existing Test Automation framework to scale across the platforms.
• Creation of automation scripts using Automation framework based on Python, OpenCV, CodeceptJS, Selenium/TestNG, etc.
• Write rules for manipulating http/s requests/responses in Charles Debugging Proxy tool etc.
• Configuring/Modifying CI/CD pipelines in GitLab and other tools.
• Analyze the Test Automation report and root cause the defect in the application/script failure.
• Logging Defects with all relevant details (debug logs, network logs, initial root cause analysis, etc.) and tracking the defect to closure
• Working in the Agile Environment
• Communicating status of the testing report with the project manager and stakeholders.
• Exploring new techniques and tools in testing and sharing this with others in the testing team

Must Have:

• Must have hands-on programming and scripting experience in programming language - Python, OpenCV, Node.JS.
• Experience in API test Automation.
• Experience in one or more of the Automation tools and frameworks like Selenium/TestNG, Postman, exposure to tools – Fiddler, Charles, Postman, JMeter
• Good experience in embedded/dev testing, analyzing the logs/debug the application.
• Ability to assist in Automation Framework Development and Maintenance.
• Experience in GitLab or any versioning tool.
• Experience on testing audio/video streaming applications would be an added advantage.

Nice to Have:

• Streaming domain knowledge.
• Experience in Charles Debugging Proxy or Fiddler or Wireshark for monitoring and manipulating network traffic.
• Working experience on Node.js.
• Experience in configuring Nightly Jobs for CI/CD pipeline using GitLab.
• Working experience in CI/CD/DevOps practice would be an added advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour
