SUMMARY:
Performs purchasing, specification preparation, and contracting support for the purchase of a variety of materials, supplies, equipment, services and items for use by corporate departments; supervises assigned purchasing and inventory staff.

  • Leads Purchasing operational team to improve overall Purchasing processes, data, and tools; ensures team is developing professionally and executing at high level.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Accounts Payable, Finance, IT, FP&A) to document business requirements; propose and implement process solutions using Coupa.
  • Develop and deploy training for internal and external users, including videos and job aids; available to answer questions, provide guidance to Coupa users as questions arise.
  • Oversee integration activities of newly acquired companies, administer training on Purchasing systems and processes.
  • Identify gaps and opportunities for process improvements and automation leveraging Coupa functionality.
  • Maintain, update, and enhance Pace’s Master Item and Vendor Data.
  • Works with legal team to develop contracting templates for critical spend categories and subcategories. Works cross functionally to ensure contracts meet the needs of our business and minimize the organization’s exposure to risk.
  • Grows and maintains productive relationships with Pace vendors and other external business partners.
  • Develops, communicates, and maintains market analysis for key spend areas – specifically around plastic lab consumables, chemicals, indirect spend, and scientific laboratory equipment & services.
  • Lead Coupa Supplier enablement initiatives including communication plans, KPI development and tracking, system configurations, and supplier training and support.
  • Communicates strategies results, and metrics to finance, operational, and corporate leadership teams as required.
  • Evaluates and hires strong talent for the company
  • 5-15% travel may be required


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Finance or related field.
  • At least 5 years of management experience in procurement, finance, or supply chain
  • Experience developing & executing implementation strategies, documenting business requirements, solution design, user acceptance testing, and executing successful change management strategies.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, set priorities, work under pressure, and follow through with assigned tasks with limited supervision.
  • Build collaborative and productive relationships within the department and across the organization
  • Coupa Certification, preferred
  • Experience in the environmental testing or pharmaceuticals industry, preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Procure-to-Pay best practices (purchasing, receiving, accounts payable). Contract Management and Supplier Enablement knowledge, preferred
  • cXML, EDI or similar eCommerce applications and formats experience, preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of Coupa, SIM, P2P, CLM, and MS Great Plains, preferred.
