Salary: $55,000 - $65,000
The Purchasing Agent supports the Procurement department by developing and completing procurement processes while overseeing the purchasing and inventory of equipment, materials, tooling, supplies, and other items for the entire company.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Coordinates and conduct procurement across all Subsidiaries and subcontract operations to meet operational requirements.
- Create, Process, and complete purchase orders as requested.
- Manage supplier on-boarding as assigned and the coordination of supplier engagement and training across all subsidiaries.
- Oversee the procurement requisitions database and review, assign, update, and process requests within a timely manner.
- Provides purchasing recommendations and information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
- Participate in the development and review of all procurement analytics, reporting and deliverables.
- Compiles records for items purchased or transferred between departments, prices, deliveries, and inventories.
- Review plans, specifications, and contracts to ensure the correct equipment, material, and subcontractor services are ordered and/or purchased.
- Initiates continuous and effective communication with all levels, inside and outside of the organization on activities that may impact the jobs and their progress.
- Evaluate and monitor vendor performance to ensure compliance with obligations and determine needs for change.
- Ensure that a professional and consistent approach is taken in relation to all supplier relationships.
- Coordinates transfer of data to external vendors, plan providers, auditors, and consultants.
- Process paperwork and maintain records as required.
- Assists in other duties as directed.

Experience and Education:
- 2+ years of prior purchasing experience
- Associate degree in business administration preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Power Point, Word, Excel).
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems, Tool Tracking Solution and similar software is required.
- Experience in the Construction industry preferred.
- Experience with Viewpoint®, SAP and similar software is preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year-to-year basis.
Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications:
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver’s License is required within two weeks of employment.
- Candidates must pass criminal and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background checks and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
