Job Title: Houseperson

Job Summary: Cleans and maintains the hotel lobby and other public areas throughout the property, while meeting established standards of cleanliness and propriety to assure guest satisfaction and maximize revenues.

Job Duties:

• Maintains the lobby and other public areas (Pool, Fitness Room, Business Center, Guest Laundry, Vending Areas, and all Hallways/ Stairwells) to ensure a safe and clean experience for hotel guests, associates and vendors.
• Replenishes supplies in Public Restrooms as needed.
• Vacuums and/or sweeps all floor surfaces as needed.
• Picks up newspapers, glassware, trash, etc. from all public areas in the Hotel, Parking Lot/ Sidewalks, and Courtyard Area.
• Maintains Exterior Appearance of Hotel by pruning/ trimming bushes, watering plants/ flowers, weeding flower beds and Courtyard Area regularly (remove brush to dumpster), sweep/ blow off parking lot to ensure a clean parking area, etc.
• Shovels Sidewalks, puts out salt to prevent ice, and brushes off Guest Vehicles regularly in the Winter Season.
• Maintains a safe public area by placing rugs and wet floor signs at doors so guests do not slip or fall.
• Assists Front Desk staff members with fulfilling Guest Requests including minor maintenance issues, needed amenities, etc.
• Maintains a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times.
• Maintain an attentive nature for all Guests, assisting with luggage/ luggage carts, providing directions or information about our Hotel, etc.
• Performs other duties as assigned by AGM or GM.

While performing the duties of this job, stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift. Requires frequent bending, reaching overhead and squatting. Lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 30 lbs without assistance. Push/pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance. Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays and extended hours as business dictates.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
