Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Overview:

The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) recognizes and champions ReDiscover’s aspirational culture when conducting comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnoses of the clients being served at the Behavioral Health Urgent Care Clinic. Through a collaborative practice with the Medical Director, the PMHNP provides medication-assisted treatment by prescribing appropriate psychotropic medication, as well as managing the medical care of ReDiscover clients in accordance with the standards of clinical practice established by the State of Missouri and the policies and procedures of ReDiscover.

Strategy & Planning

• Conducting comprehensive psychiatric evaluations to formulate diagnoses of ReDiscover clients.
• Appropriately prescribing medications for medication-assisted treatment.
• Attending and participating in regularly scheduled treatment team meetings and working with members of a diverse, interdisciplinary team.
• Providing timely and appropriate documentation for billable services.

Operational Management

• Support the strategic goals and mission/vision/values of ReDiscover when interacting with clients, co-workers and community stakeholders.
• Contribute to the mission of ReDiscover by adjusting work priorities and duties as needed to meet unforeseen demands.

• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, certified as a PMHNP with licensure in the state of Missouri.
• Preference is given to those with active BNDD, DEA, NPI, and Suboxone Waiver.
• Willingness to enter into a collaborative practice agreement with a ReDiscover licensed Psychiatrist.
• Strong analytical capabilities and conflict-resolution skills.
• Intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as G-Suite.
• Acts with integrity by observing ReDiscover policy/procedures, accreditation standards, laws and ethics.
• Self-Driven individual with a customer service focus.
• Team-Oriented and skilled in collaborating with others.
