Project Manager – Geologist/Engineer/Scientist – Lakewood, CO

As a member of our Industrial, Commercial, and Energy Services Business Unit, you will support our nationwide network of clients, from Fortune 100 companies to local municipalities, in achieving their project goals.

As a project manager, you will lead environmental assessment and remediation projects nationwide, overseeing everything from scoping and cost estimating, to implementation and closeout. Your responsibilities will include managing, staffing, and providing technical peer reviews for environmental assessment and remediation projects nationwide. Typical project sites include chlorinated solvent sites, former refineries, and emerging contaminant sites. This role will be involved with several of our service areas, including groundwater assessments, remediation design and implementation, environmental due diligence, and litigation support at industrial, commercial, and municipal properties. This position also supports business development and marketing efforts, including preparing technical proposals. As a project manager, you will serve as a technical mentor to junior staff and will have the opportunity to advance into a leadership position within the company.

The preferred candidate will be based in our Lakewood, CO office.

Required Qualifications

  • BS degree in geology, engineering, environmental science, or related field (MS preferred)

  • 5+ years of relevant environmental industry experience (candidates with a PE, PG, and/or CHMM preferred)

  • Employment history as an environmental project manager responsible for managing staff and contractors, communicating directly with clients, preparing cost estimates, and tracking budgets within the environmental field

  • Commitment to growing Trihydro’s business and supporting the Golden office culture

  • Commitment to safe work practices

  • Initiative and motivation, with an emphasis on completing high-quality project deliverables on schedule

  • Ability to work independently and contribute meaningfully to an established team of geologists, engineers, and scientists to meet client deadlines

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, project stakeholders, coworkers, subcontractors, and other project team members

  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Clean driving record and an ability to travel to client locations and other Trihydro offices

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to nurture working relationships with clients

  • Fluency with Microsoft Excel (mandatory) and familiarity with Microsoft Teams, Sharepoint, and affiliated applications (preferred)
