PROJECT MANAGER – PLAYWORLD PREFERRED

The Project Manager will plan, execute, and finalize projects that deliver outstanding value for our customers. The PM maintains a sense of urgency, responsibility, and resourcefulness throughout the project, working directly with the sales staff, office staff and Installation Manager, to have products delivered and installed on-time and within budget. The PM builds and nurtures relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers through timely and clear communication, attention to needs and expectations, and a professional, proactive demeanor.
Essential Job Results:
- Manages customer projects from initiation of sale (PO from customer) to end (installation and customer sign-off).
- Utilizes project management software and leads others to contribute by recording details for total project management visibility by internal customers
- Manages and organizes many projects at a time while maintaining customer project details
- Communicates effectively by working closely with Sales Representatives, Installation Manager, Office Support, and outside contractors so orders are correct, on time, and within budget
- Collects and obtains quotes from vendors/installers/other material suppliers as needed per bid/project, working with Sales Representative and Installation Manager
- Leads pre-construction meetings and initiates scope of work with Sales Representative and Installation Manager
- Estimates and coordinates the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals; including vendor management (with Sales Representative), shipping, on-site labor (with Installation Manager) and other resources as needed
- Identifies and manages project dependencies and critical paths
- Determines the frequency and content of status reports to internal staff and vendors
- Understands the sales and operations processes to communicate expectations of timelines, and proactively communicate any deviations from the expected timeline
- Provides first line of response and assistance for any issues on projects with customer and internal team, and initiates any resolution needed for satisfactory completion of project
- Proactively manages changes in the project, identifies potential problems, and devises contingency plans to parties involved in the project
- Organizes workload and prioritizes effectively by meeting customer schedules for completion of projects
- Conducts project reviews (lesson’s learned/post-mortem) and creates a recommendation report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements to develop best practices and tools for project execution and management
- Contributes to the corporate team effort by collaborating with every department, participating / contributing to company meetings
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by participating in company sponsored product and services training events, interacting with other departments and periodic professional development opportunities
- Participates in continuous education for project management skills
- Maintains standards compliance by complying with all company and industry procedures, rules and regulations.

Job Requirements:
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience (8 years)
1-3 years of project management experience with proven record of success in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with Microsoft office suite
Interior construction knowledge (preferred)
Excellent verbal, written, presentation and organizational skills
Knowledge/mastery of various project management software platforms/PMP or CMP certification (preferred)
