ZYGO is currently seeking candidates for a Project Manager position to join our Optics team in Middlefield, CT. Project Manager, Optics is a critical role responsible for day-to-day execution of project related tasks, and ensure shipment of high-quality optical products to customers, on time and within budget.

What You'll Do

Lead and coordinate cross functional teams, apply project management skills to effectively manage, plan and control all development activities. Drive consistency in New Product Development (NPD) practices and improve manufacturing process; Manage overall project schedule, requirements, technical deliverables, and budget; Identify and resolve risks, conflicts, inter-dependencies, and project issues quickly and efficiently; Communicate project information with functional groups and provide executive level reports to management; Ensures that customer requirements, deliverables and approvals are defined and documented; Provide clear, accurate and timely communication to the customer and management including leading customer reviews to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance; Act as primary customer contact for program activities; Manage multiple NPD projects utilizing formal project management methodologies and tracking tools; Negotiate priorities in a matrixed environment; Document and track all activities relative to assigned projects and customers.
